One stroke over Donna Andrews

She Won: $150,000
The Scoop:
Gloria came into this event with only one career top ten on the LPGA tour. She had scored this top ten only two weeks earlier. In the first two rounds, she managed two impressive scores, but Donna Andrews shot a 62 in round two to zoom to a 5 shot lead. It would have been a 61, but she called a penalty on herself for double tapping her final putt, despite the fact no one else saw it. In the third round, Gloria was on fire, relentlessly hunting down Andrews with her career best 64. It was good enough to win - by one shot. The penalty Andrews had called on herself was the difference, and Gloria had her first win.
