Ga Na Lee is a rookie on the KLPGA tour in 2005. She first rose to prominence when she won the Maekyong Open on the KLPGA tour. In order to do this, she had to beat four LPGA golfers who were in the field, all of whom had won on the LPGA tour in 2005: Jeong Jang, Meena Lee, Birdie Kim and Marisa Baena (Soo-Yun Kang was also in the field, but dropped out due to injury). Ga Na continued to have a strong 2005 season after her win, and a decent 2006 season as well. She struggled a lot in 2007, however, not even finishing in the top 100 on the KLPGA money list. |
