2021 was a breakout year for her. She earned over
500 million won, 14th on the money list. This is an amazing total
for someone without a win. She had ten top tens, including a second
and two thirds. She clearly had shown herself to be a top talent,
but wins still eluded her.
Ga Young managed her first top ten on the money
list in 2022, earning 636 million won and finishing ninth. But the
big news was that she had at last broken through with her first
win. That win came at the Dongbu Construction event in mid-October.
Interestingly, this was the only event of the season to use the
Stableford scoring system; perhaps the rare scoring method gave
her more confidence to finally break through. Besides the win, she
had two seconds, a third and a fourth.
Ga Young Lee had a strong season on the KLPGA in
2023, although she was not able to get a second win. She did have
two runner up finishes and a third, with a total of 5 top tens during
the year. She made 443 million won, 20th on the money list.
