Young Ran Jo joined the KLPGA in 2006. She got out to a rather slow start early, but by the end of the season was putting up good finishes. She ended the year with top tens in her final three events. Jo made a big improvement, however, in 2007. She collected five top tens, but the biggest of these came at a huge event: she won the 5th and final KB Star tour event to collect 125,000,000 won first prize. Weirdly, she badly missed the cut in her final two events of the year; perhaps either burnout or injury is the explanation, as her final five rounds of the year were all in the 80s. Nonetheless, she finished 5th on the money list. |
